How to root Yureka Yu in CM12 Lollipop (5.0.2)
This video provide very easy steps for rooting yureka yu device in just few minutes without bricking.
All you need to do is to follow the steps properly. And No warranty is void after rooting Yureka Yu.
How to Unroot Yureka Yu
There are less video to unroot yureka yu with CM12 and above video is also for CM11 and not for CM12 so be careful before unrooting.
Here is what u guys can do for unrooting yureka .
You can follow the steps shown in above video for unrooting any version yureka yu but after that one problem occurs that is your device gets softbrick means your device will not start and gets strucks at logo and then turn off .This happens because of twrp recovery gets flashed . So what u need to do to fix this is to watch the below video to unbrick softbrick yureka yu device.
After this your device will be working fine without any issues.
How to Unbrick Yureka YU which is softbrick
Above video will help you to get your yureka yu device fixed easily in few steps and make it as it was earlier. It is only for softbrick device and not for hardbrick .For hardbrick device you have to go to service center and they will fix it for free if in warranty.
How to Update Yureka YU to CM 12.1
Here I am providing different videos for updating your yureka yu .
1. For Normal device that are not rooted and are on stock android .
2. For Devices with CM 12 updated and android version - 5.0.2
Above video is for those devices that are not able to install update on their yureka yu directly due some reasons. So you can download the update from link given in description of video and flash it using cwm. This will not softbrick or hardbrick your phone .
3.For devices that are rooted and are on CM 12 and android verson - 5.0.2 and also for those who are getting incremental update for CM12.1 but are not able to install it due root or any other reason
There are no videos currently for this. So here is what you guys can do to update it to CM 12.1 .
First of all you can try watching above video and download the update and flash it using twrp . But this may or may not work as i myself was facing problem doing same.
So what I did to upgrade to CM 12.1 is first unroot my device by watching the above unrooting video ( How to Unroot Yureka Yu ) and then your device will get softbrick for sure .But dont worry then watch the video for unbricking your device (How to Unbrick Yureka YU which is softbrick) .
After this your device will get to its original state but there is one problem that is for only those who are getting incremental update.People getting incremental update will not be able to update their device even after this step because they will download the update and go to cwm and when apply for update their update will fail . So what everyone in this stage can do is to download the 674 mb update from above video description and then get into recovery and apply update and select the file from storage and update it and then wipe cache partition .After that reboot your device and boom your are updated to CM 12.1 and android version 5.1.1 . Here are screenshots of CM12.1 from my device after following above steps.
